Come relax in Victorian elegance in this 1865 romantic bed and breakfast getaway, located in upstate New York, at Exit 30 of the NYS Thruway. Originally built in 1865 by the prominent Bellinger family, our inn provides the Victorian grace and charm of another era.
Our common rooms include a formal parlor with a vintage player piano and a sitting room offering modern entertainment such as music or DVDs with surround sound. Both areas provide the warmth and ambiance of marble fireplaces.
In keeping with the name, a romantic theme of roses adorns the four unique guest bedrooms, all with private baths, and some with fireplaces and in-suite Jacuzzi tubs.
Full breakfast by candlelight is served daily in our dining room, where you may chat with guests from around the world. Complete your stay with an evening massage, and/or relax in our year-round hot tub.

The Victorian Rose - $135 a night. This gracious room boasts a queen-size brass bed and a private bath with a glass enclosed corner shower. The antiques include a marble-topped dresser, fine oak chairs in the sitting area, large mirrors and a walnut dresser. The "Rose Theme" weaves itself throughout the rest of the room in pictures and tasteful decorating. Plush robes and large thirsty towels are provided to use to and from the hot tub. In addition, there are lace curtains, shiny wood floors, a warm area rug, air-conditioning and cable TV upon request.
Crimson Rose - $145. - New for 2005, the Crimson Rose Room has a romantic charm all its own. Rich Victorian red and gold tones adorn the period furnishings. The room offers a handmade brass queen bed, complete with a Tempurpedic mattress and pillows, working fireplace. The grand bathroom contains two pedestal sinks and a claw foot Jacuzzi tub, big enough for two. Other amenities include TV, VCR, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.
Full breakfast by Candlelight is Served Daily 7-10am. Guests select from a full breakfast menu each evening for the next AM. Catering to those with big and small appetites, selections include such items as omelets and waffles, or simple bagels and coffee. Sweet sounds from live piano music, serenades from Sunny, the resident canary, along with pleasant conversation help make your dining experience here at Bellinger Rose a memorable one.

From the NYS Thruway: Exit 30 Herkimer Right At the first light after toll booth Follow signs to 28 North Take left at next light onto South Caroline Street At intersection of Route 5 continue straight onto North Caroline Street Take a left onto West German Street. From the West:
Turn left at first light as you enter the village on to North Caroline Street Take a left onto West German Street. Home is first house on left. There is a wrought iron fence in front. Please park in driveway to the right of fence.
From the North:
Route 28 South to Herkimer. Take a right (West) at Route 5 intersection. Turn right at light at the new McDonalds, just prior to Wal-Mart onto North Caroline Street. Take a left onto West German Street. Home is first house on left. There is a wrought iron fence in front. Please park in driveway to the right of fence.
From the South:
Route 28 North to Herkimer. Follow signs to intersection of Route 5. At intersection continue straight onto North Caroline Street. Take a left onto West German Street. Home is first house on left. There is a wrought iron fence in front. Please park in driveway to the right of fence.
From the East:
Route 5 West to Herkimer Continue through lights until North Caroline Street. Take right on to North Caroline Street. Take a left onto West German Street. Home is first house on left. There is a wrought iron fence in front. Please park in driveway to the right of fence.
